Valentines 2017

Valentine's Day is always something to look forward to in the middle of winter.  This year was not an exception.

The kids love getting mail.  Grandma Otte sent one for each.

Vera had to create a valentine's box or container for school.  We used this ice cream bucket and repurposed the tutu from Annie's 1st birthday for her container.

We kept the tradition of giving the kids helium balloons for Valentine's Day.  They were so excited to find them tied to their breakfast seats when they woke.  We also celebrated with heart-shaped toast and dippy eggs.
Each year on Valentine's Day, we also celebrate another year in our home.  No one will forget the weather we had on the day of our move, Valentine's Day 2015.  We are so glad for our home and all of the moments we share inside it.  Once in a while I ask Vera if she remembers our old house.  Sadly, she doesn't remember much.  It feels much longer than 2 years ago that we moved, but I suppose we've been pretty busy keeping up with life over the last 2 years!
